On October 4, the first meeting of the new “Coffee Talk” series took place at St. Volodymyr Church in Santa Clara, California. The opening topic was the Parable of the Talents, which invited everyone to reflect on how we use the gifts that God has given us.

Fr. Roman Bobesiuk led the spiritual part of the meeting, emphasizing the importance of developing our talents and having the courage to take a step forward. “We should not be afraid,” Father said, “because our whole life is made up of small but meaningful moments where we show our trust in God.”

The practical part was presented by Mr. Borys Senyk, a financial advisor, who spoke about different types of retirement investments, possible risks, and ways to manage them wisely. The topic drew much interest among participants and will surely continue in future gatherings.

After the presentations, everyone enjoyed coffee, pastries, and warm conversation in a friendly atmosphere. A special joy for the community was the visit of Fr. Oleh Kepeshchuk together with parishioners from the Immaculate Conception Church in San Francisco, which added even more warmth and unity to the event.

The “Coffee Talk” gathering showed that combining spiritual reflection with practical knowledge helps us grow in faith and wisdom, opening new horizons for our shared journey.
