Soccer Tournament Held in Seattle for the Second Time

On September 14 in Seattle, WA, a charity soccer tournament called “Heroes of Ukraine Cup” was held, organized by the parish of Our Lady of Zarvanytsia. The tournament began with a prayer and words from parish priest Fr. Andriy, followed by the national anthems of Ukraine and the United States. The final games took place on September 21.

Fr. Andriy noted: “The Church takes part in many areas of life, including sports. The goal of this tournament is to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and to spend time in a meaningful way.”

A total of 6 teams and 65 players joined the competition. Parishioners, family members, friends, and many guests came to cheer and support the good cause.

🏆 Results:

  • 1st place – Brick by Brick

  • 2nd place – Freedoms Fighters

  • 3rd place – Glory to Ukraine FC

  • 4th place – Kraken

  • 5th place – Trident FC

  • 6th place – Last Legends

The winners received the “Heroes of Ukraine Cup,” while other top teams received medals.

All funds collected during the event will be donated to support the 117th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, currently defending the city of Kupiansk.

The event ended with a joint prayer for peace and victory in Ukraine, along with words of gratitude to all players and fans.
