On October 6, St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Milwaukee had the great joy of welcoming a delegation of Catholic bishops and representatives of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

The delegation was led by Bishop Chad Zielinski of New Ulm. The parish community was especially pleased to welcome Bishop Bohdan Danylo, Bishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of St. Josaphat in Parma. His kindness, pastoral care, and genuine warmth brought a special sense of family to the gathering.

The visit was a wonderful opportunity for the parish to open the doors of its spiritual home and share its history, faith, and the Ukrainian traditions and culture that the community lovingly preserves far from its homeland.

One of the greatest gifts of this gathering was the experience of unity. The guests came from different parts of the United States, representing different communities and traditions, yet all were united by one faith, shared prayer, and a common desire for peace and goodness.

Together, the participants prayed for Ukraine, for peace, for families, for the future of our children, and for the unity of Christ’s Church.

The parish administrator, Fr. Ihor Darmohray, and the parish community extend their heartfelt gratitude to the bishops and all the guests for this special gathering, for their presence, openness, warm fellowship, and care for the Ukrainian Catholic community.
