On June 28, 2026, at the invitation of Fr. Ihor Plevskyi, pastor of the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, Bishop Benedyct Aleksiychuk made a pastoral visit to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic community in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova.

At the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, Bishop Benedyct celebrated the Divine Liturgy together with the clergy and parishioners. During the service, he shared a pastoral message, encouraging everyone to remain united with Christ, to persevere in prayer, and to live faithfully according to the Gospel.

A special moment of the Divine Liturgy was the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, where the faithful were able to receive Holy Communion and be spiritually strengthened by God’s grace.

After the Liturgy, Bishop Benedyct met with the clergy and parishioners. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the faithful thanked him for his visit, his prayers, his inspiring words, and his fatherly blessing.

Bishop Benedict’s pastoral visit was a meaningful event for the Ukrainian Greek Catholic community in Moldova. It was a visible sign of the Church’s closeness and support for the faithful who continue to preserve their faith, spiritual traditions, and Ukrainian heritage while living away from their homeland.

May the Lord continue to bless the parish of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, its pastor, and all the faithful, and grant peace and strength to the Ukrainian people.
