On October 5, 2025, the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church in San Francisco celebrated the Feast of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and honored the defenders of Ukraine.
Parishioners gathered for a common prayer for peace and victory in Ukraine, thanking the Mother of God for her constant care and protection over the Ukrainian people.
After the Divine Liturgy, led by Fr. Oleg Kepeshchuk, a festive concert took place in the parish hall, prepared by students of the Ukrainian Sanday School. The children touchingly sang patriotic songs and recited poems about Ukraine, peace, and the heroes who gave their lives for their homeland. Their performance became a heartfelt expression of love for their native land and gratitude to those who continue to defend it today.
The celebration concluded with friendly fellowship in a warm, family atmosphere, filled with faith, hope, and love.
