Renewal of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Mission in the Coachella Valley, CA

With the blessing of Bishop Benedict Aleksiichuk, the St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Mission in the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area, California) was renewed this year, beginning with the celebration of Pascha. The mission is under the pastoral care of Fr. Yuriy Sas.

Over the past months, the community has gradually been revitalized, gathering the faithful for communal prayer, Divine Liturgy, and spiritual fellowship. This renewal has become a sign of a living Church that continues to grow, strengthen, and bear fruit in faith, even in desert places.

As the faithful prepared for the Nativity of Christ, they gathered together to spiritually ready their hearts for the Birth of the Savior. The shared prayer provided an opportunity to deepen faith, renew hope, and witness that Christ comes to every heart—regardless of place or circumstances.

The renewal of the St. Michael Mission stands as a testimony that the Church is alive, renewing, and growing, responding to the spiritual needs of the faithful and bringing the light of Christ wherever His people are.
