Eparchial Clergy and Students of Mission Institute Attend Spiritual Conferences

St. Nicholas Eparchy of Chicago, with the blessing of Bishop Benedict (Aleksiychuk), held a spiritual conference of clergy. Due to Coronavirus restrictions, the conference was held entirely on-line. The presenter of the first session was Most Rev. Borys Gudziak Archbishop-Metropolitan for the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia.

Metropolitan Borys discussed the life and development of parishes in the United States, in the context of our pastoral program “The Vibrant Parish — a Place to Encounter the Living Christ.”
The second session was conducted by Rt. Rev. Mitred Archpriest Roman Galadza, Pastor of St. Elias Ukrainian Catholic Church in Brampton, Ontario. Not only did our clergy take part in this session, but also our students of The Mission Institute of our Eparchy. Fr. Roman spoke about his vocation to the priesthood and parish life. His experience is very valuable and it helps to build vibrant parishes in our Eparchy.
After these sessions, everyone had the opportunity to pose interesting questions about practical life in their parish. These types conferences will be continued because they are informative and beneficial, and play an important role in the formation of parish life.
