"SvjatoslavІ believe that this eparchy is going to become one of the most dynamic out of all our eparchies around the world. And here, in the West of America, it will be able to melt the hearts of even those who, perhaps, have lost the connection with their Church, and could help a lot of people with different nationalities to newly reveal the presence of God among us. We have so much to tell the world". His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC.

Seminarians from Lviv Seminary visited our Eparchy

This summer, our eparchy warmly welcomed two brothers from the Lviv Theological Seminary of the Holy Spirit — Br. Roman Baidala and Br. Oleh Lozynskyi.
For several weeks, they visited five Ukrainian parishes in the United States, where they served with their singing, helped with children’s camps, led youth prayer evenings, and shared their living witness of faith and love for Ukraine.
Their journey began at St. Nicholas Cathedral, then continued to the Parish of Our Lady of Zarvanytsia in Seattle, St. Joseph Parish in Chicago, St. Constantine Parish in Minneapolis, and ended at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in St. Louis.
The faithful of our Church joyfully welcomed the seminarians, enjoying Ukrainian songs, joining in common prayer, and feeling a living connection with their homeland.
Roman and Oleh gained very valuable pastoral experience by meeting with the Ukrainian diaspora, and today they are already sharing these impressions back in Ukraine. Encounters like this once again confirm that we are one Church — no matter the distance or borders.
The brothers themselves express deep gratitude to all the priests, families, and parishioners for their warm welcome and hospitality. They sincerely thank everyone who showed them the beauty of America, shared their time and care, and made this journey unforgettable.
On behalf of our eparchy, we also sincerely thank the brothers for their service, joy, and openness that they brought to our parishes. May the Lord guide them in their priestly vocation, strengthen them in faith, and bless their future work for the good of the Church and our people.
