The Parish of BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church located in Palos Park celebrated their parish feast day

  On September 12, 2021, in commemoration of the Parochial Feast Day, the Most Rev. Bishop Benedict (Aleksiychuk) celebrated the Hierarchical Liturgy at BVM Ukrainian Catholic Church located in Palos Park, not far from Chicago. 

  The Most Rev. Bishop Benedict was met by children bearing the traditional bread and salt and sincere greetings.  Hiermonk Reverend Theodoziy Ilnicki (OSBM) Pastor of the Parish greeted the Most Rev. Bishop and invited His Excellency to celebrate the Divine Liturgy.  The monastic sisters from The Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery (Richmond, IL) honored the Lord with their singing during the Liturgy.  Following the Liturgy, a parish concert was held along with a luncheon during which those present where able to get more acquainted with the monastic sisters and had an opportunity to converse with Bishop Benedict.
