"SvjatoslavІ believe that this eparchy is going to become one of the most dynamic out of all our eparchies around the world. And here, in the West of America, it will be able to melt the hearts of even those who, perhaps, have lost the connection with their Church, and could help a lot of people with different nationalities to newly reveal the presence of God among us. We have so much to tell the world". His Beatitude Sviatoslav, the Father and Head of the UGCC.

St. Nicholas Cathedral Pastoral Council meeting was held with the Most Reverend Bishop Benedict

On September 8, 2021, the Feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, an informal and warm St. Nicholas Cathedral Pastoral Council meeting was held with the Most Reverend Bishop Benedict (Aleksiychuk).  In the past year, due to the pandemic, the Pastoral Council had only met via zoom.

The members of the Pastoral Council gave thanks to God for His love and support.  The Most Rev. Bishop Benedict expressed the importance of serving the Church by utilizing the gifts given to us by our Lord.  Bishop Benedict further said that the service of the church should not be limited to the church building but also outside the church building.  The doors of the Church should always be open to all.

In turn the members of the Pastoral Council individually shared with each other their experience, thoughts, feelings, and new proposals.  The meeting concluded with prayer and the blessing of Bishop Benedict for future council endeavors
