On Sunday, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, September 14, the Parish of the Immaculate Conception in San Francisco welcomed a new administrator.

During the Divine Liturgy, Fr. Roman Bobesiuk read the decree of Bishop Benedict Aleksiychuk, Eparch of the St. Nicholas Eparchy of Chicago, appointing Fr. Oleh Kepeshchuk as the new pastor of the parish. Immediately after, Fr. Oleh celebrated the Divine Liturgy together with Deacon Fr. Oleh Zatvarskyy and Fr. Roman.

After the service, the faithful warmly greeted their new pastor, thanking God for this blessing. There was a special spirit of unity and hope present among the whole parish community.

At the same time, parishioners expressed heartfelt gratitude to their former pastor, Fr. Roman Bobesiuk, for his ministry, spiritual support, and dedication in leading the community during the past year.

This event is historic: for the first time, the parishes of the Immaculate Conception in San Francisco and St. Volodymyr in Santa Clara each received their own priest. It is a clear sign of God’s providence and a new chapter in the life of both communities.
